Saab 340
Originally a joint venture between Saab in Sweden and the Fairchild Aircraft Corporation the 340 variants are now made exclusively by Saab. Since its first flight in 1983 the model has seen several variants and now features amongst other niceties an electronic active noise cancellation system making for a very civilized journey indeed.
As with all the commuter turboprops it is designed for short haul group travel and is ideal for corporate groups. The combined price of individual tickets and accommodation required for inflexible schedules makes chartering such an aircraft a very viable proposition.
